Japanese companies got acquainted with Balakhani Industrial Park

Representatives of Japanese companies “Mitsubishi”, “Sumitomo”, “Mayekawa” və “Roboto” familiarized themselves with activities of “Tamiz Shahar” JSC. The guests were provided with information on the activities and projects of the company.

Deputy Chairman of Executive Board of “Tamiz Shahar” JSC Sabuhi Mehdizade reported about the development of the non-oil sector, favorable conditions created for entrepreneurs and investors in industrial parks and industrial areas. It is planned to recycle municipal waste and to establish service companies in Balakhani Industrial Park covering a 7 ha area.

Especially, companies engaged in recycling are involved in parks. Industrial park has currently 5 residents engaging in the recycling of used motor oil, pet bottles, cardboard, and plastic goods and the manufacturing of furniture.

Guests were also informed about the activities of the Baku Waste to Energy Plant. The annual capacity of the plant is 500 thousand tons of municipal solid waste, 10 thousand tons of medical waste and it can reproduce 231 million kWh electricity per year. It is possible to cover the energy requirement of a city of 300 thousand residents with annually produced electricity of the plant.
