The opening ceremony of the IX International "From Waste to Art" exhibition took place

The next, IX International "From Waste to Art" exhibition was held with the the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the organisation of "Tamiz Shaher" JSC, support of IDEA Public Union, "Icherisheher" State Historical-Architectural Reserve Department and the "Q Gallery" Art Gallery.
12 foreign and 18 local artists, invited from 9 countries, exhibited their artworks made from waste and unnecessary items under the theme "Create for Peace" at "From Waste to Art" exhibition.
In the "The Green World Solidarity Year" and within preparation for COP29, which will be host by Azerbaijan, this initiative serves to protect the environment. Creative people from different countries of the world join in the content of their works and call for peace along with the elimination of environmental problems.
The main goal of the exhibition organised in the "From Waste to Art" museum located in the Gala settlement of Baku is to draw people's attention to environmental protection, to reduce the volume of waste, and to visually show that objects considered unnecessary can be transformed into works of art with the touch of creative people.
More than 200 creative people from 46 countries of the world participated in the exhibition traditionally held since 2012, and their artworks are presented to visitors in the "From Waste to Art" museum, which was created on the territory of the Gala State History-Ethnography Reserve at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
